I have often said that playing games in my PlayStation machine is my favorite past time, not to mention it's the only thing I do when I'm not doing anything of the business sort. But when I get to work, it is not that I shun my games aside and be a stuff shirt all throughout my working week. Well, I've no idea of any sort of becoming a pathetic employee like Jack, who is all work and no play, because if I'll live my life this way, I'd rather commit suicide. And since killing myself is an unforgivable sin, and I've got no plans of dying yet, I kill boring hours in the office with my PlayStation portable, and I think my boss knows this, mind you.
When I was fresh from college, I always bring my GameBoy in the office, but now that I became a bit richer and less mature, I switch to PSP since the gaming pleasure that it can provide is truly superb. Amongst the games that I use to play is Monster Hunter Freedom which also has its PS2 version but I don't know if we have one for Xboxes. On with the game, it takes place in a pre-historic era where dragons, dinosaurs, huge insects and other weird creatures exist. If you are able to watch the
King Kong movie, well I guess those inhabitants of the Skull Island are the inspiration of this game. What I like about this game is that you can choose your character with distinctive weapons, costumes, hairstyles, and voices of your choice. All you have to do is hunt and kill monsters with the weapons available in the vicinity before these ferocious beasts kill you. And speaking of weapons, my dears, you can create your own daggers, swords, spears and arrows from the materials that you have gathered or better yet you can buy it on the village store.
This game is exciting because you'll get to meet a lot of people, go to different forests to gather plants like shrubs and
poisonous mushrooms and meet the wildest and foulest creatures you've never dreamed of. Unlike other monster games, I think this is the least gory and morbid because there's lesser blood gushing scenes although I can say it's action packed. The graphics and the background designs are very detailed like the leaves really look like leaves, if you know what I mean.
