Buying a new PlayStation or
Xbox 360 game is very difficult. It needs focus, brain freezing, certain level of muscle movements and concentration, just like what people always do when they're sitting on the toilet. Actually, I have my personal research tactic in choosing a new game and it involves a) reading the preview of the game written at the back of its package and b) testing and finishing the game in the shop where I'm buying it. Letter b is extremely important so that you can check if the game's really wicked and to see if the shop manager is really vile.
Anyway, there's a new game that passed my standards. It's Ape Escape Academy. In this particular game, you're thrown into the wacky life of a monkey in-training to become a full-pledged hench-monkey (just imagine a
Harry Potter monkey version in here).
The game play requires you to help the monkey to pass at least 40 unusual minigames-slash-challenges in each level. Winning each challenge means you're given a passing grade and a permission to advance to another lesson. Playing the game is very easy and you'll feel like you've been trapped in a five-year old's body while you're at it. Good thing the monkeys' costumes are funny, which is an added point.
